Several years ago, I attended a class taught by and well-known homemaking guru, Daryl Hoole. One of her many bits of advice was to do "Something that Stays Done" every day. I have followed this advice off and on, but want to make it a habit in 2011!

P.S. To see the blog that inspired me to get started and to see more great ideas of things to get done, check out dirtylittlesecrets2010.blogspot.com. Thanks, Becky!

Ahhhhhh!

I got the first coat of stain on my table.
I love the wood grain through the stain.
After I wiped it down, I noticed this...
Ahhhhhh!
I was trying to decide whether to stain the table dark or light.
I thought I'd try to make it light like the wood on the chairs.
I bought stain and tried it out.
I didn't like it so I sanded it down again,
but the stain stayed in the grooves.
And now I have another something to do...figure out how to get stain out from deep in the wood grain.
It's water based paint so I hope it won't be hard.
Any ideas?
