Several years ago, I attended a class taught by and well-known homemaking guru, Daryl Hoole. One of her many bits of advice was to do "Something that Stays Done" every day. I have followed this advice off and on, but want to make it a habit in 2011!

P.S. To see the blog that inspired me to get started and to see more great ideas of things to get done, check out dirtylittlesecrets2010.blogspot.com. Thanks, Becky!

It's that time of year!

Science Fair time that is!
The 10-year-old son had his first turn at doing a science fair project this year.
He chose a project on insulation.
Here is the science fair board in progress.
And here is the finished product.
UPDATE!!!
The-10-year-old has been home from school for four days.
He slept most of the day on Friday.
Friday after school, his friend brought him his science fair board and an award
that said he's a finalist!
His response was,
"I won the science fair asleep!"

  1. These things are a pain in the neck for parents but the kids seem to have a lot of fun. My 10-year-old son just started his project this weekend. We cultivated our own bacteria and are testing the effectiveness of "green" cleaning products in comparison to conventional cleaners. He's pretty eager to at least see the "control" groups grow some pretty cool bacteria. :P
