Several years ago, I attended a class taught by and well-known homemaking guru, Daryl Hoole. One of her many bits of advice was to do "Something that Stays Done" every day. I have followed this advice off and on, but want to make it a habit in 2011!

P.S. To see the blog that inspired me to get started and to see more great ideas of things to get done, check out dirtylittlesecrets2010.blogspot.com. Thanks, Becky!

$6,000

I earned myself $6,000 today.
Sort of.
I was introduced to a company who would do a much needed medical test on my daughter
in exchange for a little bit of feedback through their website.
The test was done many months ago
and today I finally finished the survey.
That something sure paid off!

Christmas in September

I saw this cute idea in blogland and decided to try it out to go with the wedding gift I posted yesterday.
It is a wedding announcement in a Christmas bulb.
I love how it turned out!
I'm tempted to find my wedding announcement and cut and curl it up!

Follow the Brethren

I went to our niece's wedding this weekend and had planned on giving her a gift card for a present.
After the advice given to her in the temple,
I decided to make something instead.
I gathered supplies at the craft store and the home improvement store.
 And made this...
Hopefully, I can get it to her parent's house before she gets home from her honeymoon!
(Sorry about the dark picture.  I'll replace it when I get a minute.  Haha!)

My Babies are Growing Up

I searched long and hard for matching bedding when I was pregnant with my twins.
I found the cutest brown and pink and blue set and paid a pretty penny for it.
Today, with a tear in my eye, I gathered, washed and gave it away!

Cooked and Frozen

I got 7 meals worth of hamburger
cooked,
bagged,
and frozen.

I love having cooked meat ready to go in the freezer for quick meals.
That something will make 7 busy nights easier!

Hot Rolls

I went to a church social tonight.
My assignment was rolls.
Since I baked them myself for someone else,
they counts as something that stays done!
My family was happy to learn that I doubled the recipe.
