Several years ago, I attended a class taught by and well-known homemaking guru, Daryl Hoole. One of her many bits of advice was to do "Something that Stays Done" every day. I have followed this advice off and on, but want to make it a habit in 2011!

P.S. To see the blog that inspired me to get started and to see more great ideas of things to get done, check out dirtylittlesecrets2010.blogspot.com. Thanks, Becky!

Books, Books, Books

After 16 years of collecting books for our family,
I decided it was time to let some go.
This is part of my "Bag a Day" goal.
Here is the 3-year-old girl's room before...
And after...
Look!  There's even an empty shelf!
And this is what I'm getting rid of!
Feels good!

Stampin' Up!

I went to a Stampin' Up! class last week.
I even placed an order which I didn't need to do because I used to buy this stuff for a discount
(and I bought a lot!).
They are always coming out with new things and they sucked me in!
Here is one fun thing I got...
And I even got it mounted right when it came.
So cute!

Sensory Input

My little girl LOVES to feel textures and her current favorite
is the rough side of velcro.
I was trying to find things to motivate her at physical therapy
when I came across a touchy-feely book with velcro in it!
I remembered that I had some texture paper at home
and this chipboard book for scrapbooking
so I made her a whole book of textures and she LOVES it, too!

I'm Back!

We finished our three week physical therapy routine.
It was so good for the 3-year-old girl,
but I'm so glad it's over!

One something that I finished was this book on tape.
It is written/read by the guy who used to be on Clean Sweep.
A word he uses a lot is "purge" in his English accent.
Even though I've heard it all before,
he made me want to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff!
So my goal for the next little while is
A BAG A DAY!
I'll keep you posted.

3-year-old Therapy

I have not been doing many projects around here for a while.
Instead...

Here is what I have been working on for the last two weeks...
(Intensive Physical Therapy, 5 days a week, 4 hours a day, 45 minutes from home).
Only one week to go!

I have been working on a fun something when the 3-year-old girl is at therapy and isn't crying.
I'll share it soon.

45 Days!

This is something that our family finished.
The legislative session ended at midnight last night.
Now we get our husband and dad back!
(After he catches up on his real job, that is!)

Gum

This is not a real organization something,
but it sure was a great deal!
I went to ShopKo today when I had some time to kill
and scored a whole bunch of 32 cent gum!
Whenever I find a good deal, I like to stock up...even gum!

Getting Organized

I got a new job at church in January that keeps me pretty busy.
I finally got around to organizing the piles of papers that I was given
and have accumulated.
Here's how it started...
Then this happened...
And now it's all tucked tightly in my binder.
Until my next meeting, of course!
